Ski Boots

Nordica, Salomon, Rossignol, Garmont, Scarpa, and more. Precise execution on the hill starts with your boots. The ski boot is where you should spend a good chunk of your budget. Quality boots will translate to the snow much faster than quality skis.

The greatest skis in the world can't help you if you don't have a way to control them. Top of the line ski boots will see to it that your skis do what you tell them. Soft, cheap boots cannot keep you in control when the going gets tough. You want to be rock solid in the middle of your skis and your stance. The right ski boots will help you accomplish this.

Modern technology on your feet

Pay close attention to the flex rating on modern boots.  Make sure you have the right amount of flex for your size, weight and ability.  Nobody wants a boot that is too soft; there is no disputing this.  However, a boot that is too stiff can make for an unnecessarily painful break-in period, even if it "fits" properly.

If you do your homework, you will end up with a boot that is as comfortable as a slipper, yet powerful and stable in any situation.  Forget what you've heard about boots in years past.  The latest materials used to make modern ski boots are unbelievably light and sturdy.

Sounds too good to be true? Demo some of the boots in this category and see what I mean.
